Michael Andrew Wrigley, 76, of Forsyth, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in Illinois Veteran’s Home in Quincy.

 

Michael was born September 25, 1941 in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Robert Michael and Esther Irene Wrigley. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Michael retired from the State of Illinois where he served as a CPA. He married Ruth Morland on February 4, 1967 in Decatur. They shared over fifty years together.

 

Surviving is his wife Ruth, children Jennifer (John) Cernich of Riverton, David (Wendy) Wrigley of Manhattan Beach, California, and Andrew (Nicky) Wrigley of Troy, Michigan, brothers Steve (Linda), Tom (Betty), Bob, Jim (Becky), and Chris (Robyn), sisters Mary (Larry) King and Melinda O’Brien, sister-in-law Jacque Wrigley, and grandchildren Lydia, Thomas, Daniel, Johanna, Katherine, Samuel, Mary Katherine, Timothy, and Micaela.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John and Matthew Wrigley, and sister-in-law Gloria Wrigley.

 

Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Michael’s life will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 407 E Eldorado St, Decatur, with Rev. John Burnette, celebrant. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the Mass. Burial with military honors conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard will be at Calvary Cemetery in Decatur. Memorials are suggested to the Illinois Veteran’s Home in Quincy.
