David R. Gaither, 54, of Atlanta, passed away at 6:50 a.m. Friday (Jan. 19, 2018) at his home.

 

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home, Atlanta. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family burial will be Tuesday.

 

David Ray Gaither was born Sept. 2, 1963, in Springfield, the son of Bill and Edna Brooks Gaither.

 

David is survived by his father; three sons, David L. (Ashley) Gaither, Atlanta; Jordan (Taylor) Gaither, Tremont; and Kyle Gaither, Atlanta; one sister, Julie (Gary) Frantz, Atlanta; and two nephews, Jason Frantz, Atlanta, and Alex Frantz, Bloomington.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother and one infant son.

 

David was a driver for Carri Scharf Trucking. He was a 1981 graduate of Olympia High School and a member of Atlanta Christian Church. David loved and cared for his family and will be greatly missed.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a college fund for Kyle Gaither at Atlanta National Bank.
