Alvin Earl Whiteside, 77, of Bloomington, Illinois, passed away at 3:50 A.M., Wednesday, January 10, 2018. 

 

A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 19, 2018, at Freedom Baptist Church, 2405 East Washington Street, Bloomington, Illinois, with a family luncheon to follow also at the church. 

 

Memorial donations may be made to Wishbone Animal Rescue or Freedom Baptist Church Building Fund.

 

Alvin was born March 20, 1940, in Bloomington, Illinois to Dean and Betty (McCullum) Whiteside. They preceded him in death. 

 

He is survived by his wife, Marie Whiteside; sons, Don Whiteside and Tony Whiteside; daughters, Tina (Philip) Nadzam and Teresa (Jeffrey) Lenhardt; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brothers, James Whiteside and Jerry (Nancy) Whiteside.

 

Alvin was a U.S. Army veteran. He loved dirt track racing and was an avid car enthusiast.
