Hugh C. "Chris” Keough, "The Man, The Myth, The Legend” 83, of Lincoln passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018, at his home.

 

Chris was born on January 18, 1934, in Pittsburg, PA. The son of Bernard J. and Matilda (Doyle) Keough. He married Beverly Kay Bree on February 17, 1957, in Fayetteville, NC. She preceded him in death on January 9, 2014.

 

Chris is survived by his daughter, Christy Ann Keough Beard; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

 

Chris proudly served his country with The 82nd Airborne. Chris was also a great storyteller and had a story to fit any situation.

 

Chris’ wishes were to be cremated, there will be no services. Memorial donations may be made in Chris’ name to The Humane Society of Logan County at 1801 N Lincoln Pkwy, Lincoln, IL 62656. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL.
