Dennis J. Morgan, 57, of Le Roy, Illinois, passed away at 1:29 P.M., Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, Illinois.

 

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Le Roy, Illinois, with Jeff Mayfield, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Le Roy, Illinois. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the funeral home with I.O.O.F. service at 6:30 P.M.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

 

Dennis was born August 6, 1960, in Bloomington, Illinois, to Robert W. and Sylvia J. Savage Morgan. He married Terri L. Kumler on February 25, 1989, in Le Roy, Illinois. She survives in Le Roy, Illinois.

 

He is also survived by his mother, Sylvia J. Morgan of Mesa, AZ; son, Alan (Tricia) Loy of Le Roy; daughters, Amber (David) Abrams of Bloomington, Jill (T.J.) Schopp of Le Roy and Kelley (Joey Fleming) Morgan of Le Roy; grandchildren, Grace, Braden, and Natalie Loy, Dalton and Kinley Abrams, and Logan Schopp; brothers, Brian (Kelli) Morgan of Le Roy and Scott (Janel) Morgan of Bloomington; sisters, Terri Lynn Morgan of Normal and Barbara Ann (Gary) Corwin of Excelsior, MN.

 

He was preceded in death by his father and maternal and paternal grandparents.

 

Dennis worked at Morgan and Son’s Trucking, Le Roy as an owner/operator.

 

He was a member of the Le Roy I.O.O.F. Lodge #149 and the Bloomington Elk’s Lodge #281.
