Patricia Mae Alexander, 80, of Mansfield, Illinois, passed away at 11:23 P.M., Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois.

 

Her funeral will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at the Mansfield United Methodist Church, Mansfield, Illinois, with Pastor Ed Davis officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, Illinois. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M., Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

 

Patricia was born October 9, 1937, in Mansfield, Illinois, a daughter of John W. & Mary E. McKee Kennedy. She married Darwin Eugene Alexander, September 5, 1958, in Mansfield, Illinois. He passed away January 14, 2016.

 

She is survived by her children, Darwin Eugene (Jo) Alexander II of Carrollton, Illinois; Deborah L. (Randy) Cain of Philo, Illinois; Robert W. Alexander I of Mansfield, Illinois. Five grandchildren, Darwin Eugene Alexander III; Matthew Holderly; Katelynn Alexander; Robert W. Alexander II; Christina Holderly; three great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Alexander; Darwin Eugene Alexander IV; and Maverick L. Alexander.

 

Preceded in death by her husband, Darwin Eugene Alexander; parents, John W. & Mary E. Kennedy; great-grandson, Zeke Owen Alexander; two brothers, Richard Renner and Robert Kennedy.

 

Patricia was a retired secretary for Collegiate Cap & Gown Company, Champaign, Illinois. She was a member of the Mansfield United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank Kelly Finet for all of her services. They also would like to thank the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello, Illinois, nurses and staff and th6th-flooror nurses and staff at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois, for the excellent care that was given to their mother. Patricia will be missed by all.
