Nancy L. Overby, 77, of Lincoln, died on Friday (Dec. 29, 2017) at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

 

Nancy was born on Dec. 1, 1940 in Alton, the daughter of George and Leona (Dickmann) Ostendorf. She married Jerry Overby on Aug. 18, 1962, in Edwardsville. He preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 2015.

 

Nancy is survived by her son, Michael (Karen) Overby; her daughter, Michelle (Tito) Gomez; her grandchildren, Anthony Gomez, Mark Overby and Nick Overby; and her sister, Judy Selkirk.

 

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her grandson, Patrick.

 

Nancy was a math instructor at Lincoln College for 16 years. She enjoyed traveling in the United States and spending time in her garden.

 

Services for Nancy will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Lincoln. Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln with a 3:30 p.m. prayer service. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Edwardsville.

 

Memorial donations may be made in Nancy’s name to Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln.
