Harold A. Ryburn, 88, of Heyworth, Illinois, passed away December 21, 2017, at his home. 

 

A graveside memorial service will be at a later date. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Heyworth, Illinois, is in charge of arrangements. 

 

Harold was born May 5, 1929, in Heyworth, Illinois, to Charles A. and Hazel Winchell Ryburn. 

 

He is survived by his two daughters, Bonnie Ryburn of Urbana, Illinois and Dixie Pickett of Warner Robbins, Georgia; one son, Robert (Audrey) Ryburn of Farmer City, Illinois; two sisters, Ruth Hill of Newton, Iowa and Marjorie Smith of Bloomington, Illinois.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul Ryburn.

 

Harold was a Korean War veteran. After returning from the war he started working at GMO Railroad as a brakeman and later as a conductor.
