Larry Edward Austin 76 of Forsyth, Illinois passed away 9:15 AM December 23, 2017, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.

 

Masonic Services will be 11:00 AM December 29, 2017, at the Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL; religious services will follow with Rev. Randy Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL. Visitation will be 10 – 11 AM Friday at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to Maroa Masonic Lodge #454.

 

Larry was born February 21, 1941, in Maroa, IL the son of Albert Lynn and Clara Louise (Wikoff) Austin. He married Julia Ann Liming January 15, 1960, in Clinton, IL.

 

Survivors include his wife: Julia Ann Austin, Forsyth, IL; daughter: Kathryn Louise (Robert Lee) Darling, Becker, MN, Sherilyn Kay (Charles Gregory) Weikle, Forsyth, IL; grandsons: Matthew Robert (Anne Marie) Darling, Sartell, MN, Charles Andrew (fiancé, Rachael Johnson) Weikle, Chicago, IL, Derek Austin (Cayla) Weikle, St. Louis, MO; great-granddaughters: Brynn Kelly Darling, Cailin Marie Darling, Marin Austin Jean Darling.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Alice Virginia Moit, and a brother: Robert Lynn Austin.

 

Larry was a member of the Maroa Masonic Lodge #454, the Ansar Shrine, the Myrtle Chapter #131 Order of the Eastern Star and the Caterpillar Retirees. After 35 years of service, he retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company.
