Juanita Elliott 79 of Heyworth, Illinois passed away on December 9, 2017, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, IL after courageously battling multiple medical problems.

 

Per her wishes, a graveside service will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Bloomington, IL with Rev. Jim Warren officiating. There will be no visitation. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.

 

Juanita was born in Clinton, IL to Veryl and Freda (Swartz) Crutcher on September 19, 1938. She attended Clinton High School and graduated in 1956.  She married Ronald Elliott on June 28, 1957.  Juanita became a passionate and talented homemaker, loving mother and extraordinary grandmother.  Her family and home brought her unlimited joy.

 

Juanita became a dedicated affiliate of the First Christian Church in Bloomington, IL where she enjoyed preparing for and teaching Sunday school lessons as well as contributing to funeral meals at the church.  Juanita delighted in planting and tending to her many flower gardens each year.

 

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; son, Steven Elliott; sister, Diana Crutcher; brothers, Russell Crutcher, Roy Crutcher and Merl Crutcher.

 

Juanita is survived by her husband Ronnie of 60 years; son David and his daughter Faith; daughter Chris and her husband Michael and their sons Evan, Grant, and Carter; son Tim and his wife Tami and their sons Logan, Levi and Layten.  She is also survived by her brother Veryl Crutcher and his wife Sue.

 

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the dedicated and caring staff at OSF Medical Center particularly the nurses, who provided care and comfort to Juanita and her family throughout her difficult illness.
