Georgina A. Collins, 46, formerly of Havana, IL passed away at 5:35 a.m. on November 26, 2017, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

 

Georgina was born on February 6, 1971, in Havana, IL; daughter of Melvin Allen and Ruth Charlene (Mason) Rilea. She married Jerry Skelton Sr. on July 7, 2017, in Lincoln, IL. He survives her.

 

Also surviving are her children: Misty (Ronald) Mendenhall of Springfield, IL, Charlene (Aaron) Morris of Springfield, IL, and Moriah (Tiffani) Snider of Lincoln, IL; two step-sons: Jerry Skelton Jr and Kyle Merreighn. of Lincoln, IL one grandchild: Zaydin Pellhum; two sisters: Daleta Wilkey and Brenda Simers both of Havana, IL; several stepbrothers and sisters; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Georgina was of the Christian faith.

 

A Remembrance will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2017, at Lifepoint Church of God with Jacob Skelton officiating. A celebration of life will be held on the evening of February 6, 2018. Memorials may be made in Georgina’s name to the Humane Society of Logan County.
