Tori Nicole Lanter, 17, of Monticello, passed away at 5:55 p.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Carle Hospital, Urbana.

 

Tori was born April 11, 2000 in Champaign, IL the daughter of Ricky L. Lanter and Elta D. (Clesson) Finke.

 

Tori is survived by her father, Ricky Lanter of Monticello; mother, Elta Finke (Scott) of Farmer City; brother, John Lanter of Monticello; grandparents, Pam Lanter of Monticello, Terry Lanter (Phyllis) of La Grange, GA, Linda Scott of Gilbertsville, KY; great grandmothers, Phyllis Stukins of Decatur and Betty Miller of Taylorville. She was preceded in death by her grandfather David Clesson and her great grandfathers, Wilbur Stukins and Leslie Miller.

 

Tori was a senior at Monticello High School, worked at Shopko and enjoyed being a member of the FFA. She loved spending time with her boyfriend Isiah and her friends. There wasn’t a day that she didn’t miss spending time with her dog Twinkie

 

Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Monticello Township Cemetery.

Tori was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and cousin who will be missed dearly by family and friends. She was a very loving girl who never met a stranger.
