Eileen Catherine Edwards 87 of Maroa, Illinois passed away 2:15 PM November 4, 2017, at the Eastern Star Home, Macon, IL.

 

Services to celebrate Eileen's life will be 11 AM, Friday, November 10, 2017, at the Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL with Greg Taylor officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 PM, Friday at Mottarville Cemetery, Rochester, IL. There will be no visitation.

 

Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.

 

Eileen was born October 7, 1930, in Springfield, IL the daughter of William H. and Clara Agnes (Schmidt) Ryan. She married Charles "Don" Edwards October 15, 1948, in Springfield, IL. He passed away December 16, 2008.

 

Survivors include her children: David E. (Rose) Edwards, Nicholasville, KY; Carole L.  Barnhorst, Greenwood, IN; Darla Rae (Roger) Wiseman, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; siblings: Mary E.. Springer, Springfield, IL; Carolyn Vancil, Springfield, IL.; William J. Ryan, Murphysboro, IL; Donna Ryan Neuman, Chatham, IL; and special caregiver, and longtime family friend, Larry Pumphrey, Maroa, IL.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and one brother.

 

Eileen was a retired secretary. She was a member of the Hazlemere Chapter #221 O.E.S., Taylorville, IL.  She loved to do arts and crafts, sew, and cook.
