Loren Edward Murphy, 48, of Farmer City, Illinois, passed away at 10:15 A.M., Friday, November 3, 2017, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois.

 

There will be a casual gathering of friends from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, November 10, 2017, at the Victory Christian Center, Farmer City, where friends and family can meet and tell stories about Loren.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to Carle Foundation Hospital Rehabilitation Unit.

 

Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.

 

Loren was born February 21, 1969, in Monticello, Illinois, to Herschel and Elda Lembke Murphy. He married Khristina Lee Kirk on November 29, 1997, in Farmer City. She survives in Farmer City.

 

He is survived by his children, Damien Murphy, Kenny Murphy and Chelsea Ferguson all of Farmer City, Illinois; sisters, Julie Murphy Graning of Farmer City, Illinois, Pam (Kelly) Lyle of Bloomington, Illinois and Donna Sue Nickison of Grant City, Missouri; brothers, Ray (Cathy) Murphy of Johnsonville, Illinois and Thomas (Donna) Murphy of Brodhead, Wisconsin.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, David Lee and Von Haas.

 

Loren was an employee of Cabinetland in Farmer City for thirty years.

 

He was a loving husband; father; a brother; son; and friend to many. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
