David Lee Moore 76 of Clinton, IL passed away 10:15 AM October 27, 2017, at his family residence, Clinton, IL.

 

Services will be 10 A.M. Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Rev. Father James Henning officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Clinton, IL with Military Honors. Visitation will be 5 – 7 Monday, October 30, 2017, at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

 

David was born February 10, 1941, in DeWitt County, IL the son of F. Wilson and Margaret M. (Frantz) Moore. He married Rita A. Brown June 27, 1964, in Clinton, IL. She passed away November 19, 2007.

 

Survivors include his children: Erin L. (Kevin) Cook, Monticello, IL, Mark J. (Angela) Moore, Lubbock, TX; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; siblings: Dan Moore, Clinton, IL, Doris Ann (Arnold) Hawkins-Coffey, Russell Springs, KY, Dorothy Hanna, Mahomet, IL.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son: Shawn Patrick Moore and 1 brother: Richard.

 

David served his country proudly in the Navy from 1959 – 1963 aboard the USS Midway as an E4.

 

David had worked for Kolp Servi-Soft and Revere Copper & Brass Inc. in Clinton and retired from Illinois Power in 2003.
