Pauline S. Rau, 92, of Warrensburg passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017.

 

Pauline was born on August 14, 1925 in Mt. Pulaski, IL the daughter of Hugh F. and Nina (Dobbs) Stiles. She was a member of Warrensburg Unite Methodist Church and the women's group. She enjoyed quilting, hand weaving rag rugs, sewing, and cooking. She married William E. Rau on August 20, 1944 in Latham. He preceded her in death on June 25, 2008.

 

Surviving are her son, David L. Rau (Jan) of Jackson, MO; daughter, Christina Robinson of Warrensburg; brothers, Dan Stiles of Decatur; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Mark W. Rau; brother, Hugh F. Stiles Jr., and 3 sisters, Hazel Bender, Mary Gribbins, and Pat Roure.

 

Funeral service to celebrate Pauline's life will be 12 Noon Saturday, October 7, 2017 in Warrensburg United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 10 AM – 12 Noon Saturday in the church. Memorials are suggested to Heartland Manor Care Activity Fund, 444 W. Harrison Ave. Decatur, IL 62526-4157.
