Marie Elizabeth Shell, 99 of Clinton, IL passed away 4:10 PM September 18, 2017 at the Christian Village, Lincoln, IL.

 

Services will be 11 A.M. Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Rev. Randy Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Visitation will be 10 – 11 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to Clinton United Methodist Church.

 

Marie was born June 18, 1918 in Philo, Illinois the daughter of John C. and Alice (Ruttman) Trost. She married L. Keith Shell January 11, 1947 in Champaign, Il. He passed away November 2, 1989.

 

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

 

Marie was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star #131; Order of the White Shrine Of Jerusalem Magdala Shrine #18; American Legion Auxiliary #103 since 1949; Delta Gamma Chapter of Kappa Delta Phi Sorority and the Home Economics Club. Along with her husband, they owned and operated Shell – Downs Motors in Clinton, IL.
