Christy Lee Sloat, 46, of Clinton, IL passed away at 12:09 AM, September 17, 2017 at her family residence, Clinton, IL.

 

Services will be 2 P.M. Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Lane Christian Church, Lane, IL with Jim Kilson officiating. Burial will follow at McCord Cemetery, DeWitt, IL. Visitation will be from 1 – 2 P.M. Thursday at the church. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL is in charge of arrangements.

 

Memorials may be directed to Christy Lee Sloat Memorial Fund.

 

Christy was born April 13, 1971 in Champaign, IL the daughter of Jimmie Maiden and Alma (Helmick) Hoke. She married J.T. Sloat March 15, 1997 in Clinton, IL.

 

Survivors include her father: Jimmie Maiden, Monticello, IL; children: Ka’lee Maiden, Monticello, IL, Jesse Sloat, Clinton, IL; granddaughter: Paislee Maiden-Anglin; sister: Mandy Maiden, San Francisco, CA; aunt: Vera “Toots” Hansen, Clinton, IL along with her special dog: Starr.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother and sister: Angela Deann Maiden.

 

Christy loved crafting. She was a “people person” and never met a stranger.
