Dorothy Sprague, 80, of Maroa, IL entered into Heaven at 12:45 P.M., Sunday September 10, 2017 surrounded by her loving family in her home in Maroa, IL.

 

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 15, 2017 at Maroa United Methodist Church,Maroa, IL with Rev. Mary Alice Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in Maroa Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M. Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL.

 

Memorials may be directed to Maroa United Methodist Church.

 

Dorothy was born September 12, 1936 in Weldon, IL, the 10th child of Charles and Edith (O’Daffer) Carr. She was a graduate of DeLand-Weldon High in 1954. She married Ross Ferrill November 28, 1954 in Clinton, IL. He preceded her in death September 27, 1989. She then married Robert Sprague of Weldon, IL, May 1, 1994. Dorothy was a Homemaker who farmed alongside her late husband, Ross. Then, later assisted her husband, Bob, with farming and his business, Bob’s Roast Beef.

 

Dorothy leaves behind her husband, Robert Sprague; daughters: Tina (Chuck) Leach, Toni Shoemaker, Tami (Jeff) Matthews, and son: Thomas (Tracy) Ferrill, all of Maroa; step-children: Linda (Steve) Fasick, Decatur, IL; Scott (Elise) Sprague, Penfield, IL; brother: Bob Carr; sisters: Annie Hall, Kay Carr, and Carolyn (Mike) Perkins; 19 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ross, daughter and son-in-law: Teri and Tom Hogan, 5 sisters, and 6 brothers.
