Anna (Evola) Curcuru, 92 of Clinton, IL passed away 2:08 P.M. August 22, 2017 at family residence in Clinton, IL surrounded by her family.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 28, 2017 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Clinton, IL with Rev. Fr. James Henning, Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Clinton Mausoleum, Clinton, IL. Visitation will be 2 – 4 P.M. Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton with Rosary at 1:30 P.M.

 

Memorials may be directed to St. John's Catholic Church.

 

Anna was born April 4, 1925 in Cinisi, Sicily, Italy the daughter of Giuseppe and Angela (Vitale) Evola. She married Giovanni “John” Curcuru; he passed away September 9, 2001.

 

Survivors include her daughter: Nina Miller, Clinton, IL; 6 grandchildren: Anna Maria Miller-Lane, Mahomet, IL, John Miller, Clinton, IL, John Curcuru, Orlando, FL, Annalisa Curcuru, York, PN, Angioletta Curcuru, Bloomington, IL, Tony Curcuru, Cinnisi, Sicily; 4 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law: Lisa (Jim) Drew, Lincoln, IL.

 

Anna was preceded in death by her parents and 1 son, Serafino Curcuru.

 

Anna and her husband John immigrated to the United States in 1965. The family opened Sorrentos Pizza in Lincoln, IL in 1969. She enjoyed working in the family pizza business until the age 0f 90.

 

Anna was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved to cook for the family and spend time with her grandchildren.
