Edward D. J. “Alaska” Wilson 75 of Clinton, IL passed away 10:10 PM August 20, 2017 at Manor Court, Clinton, IL.
 
Services to celebrate Edwards’s life will be 11 A.M. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Greg Taylor officiating. Military honors will follow. Visitation will be from 10 – 11 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
 
Memorials may be directed to ABATE of Illinois.
 
Edward was born August 13, 1942 in Port Orchard, Washington the son of James E. and Claudia (Kelly) Wilson.
 
Survivors include his children: Adam (Bobbi Smith) Wilson, Clinton, IL, Roy Wilson, Clinton, IL; sister: Jean Ann Jensen, Wasilla, Alaska; former wife: Jana Wilson, Maroa, IL.
 
Edward was preceded in death by his Parents and 1 Brother, James T. Wilson. Edward served in the Army Reserves. He was a journeyman electrician with IBEW and retired from Bodine Electric. He was a member of the Fraternal Order Of Eagles. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Motorcycles were his passion and he had served as the ABATE state safety education coordinator. He also liked to write poetry and oil paint. He was a “Die Hard” Chicago Cub and Seattle Seahawk fan.
