Ronald “Ron” E. Holland 81 of Maroa, Illinois died peacefully surrounded by family at 1:17 PM August 15, 2017 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Illinois.

 

Services will be 10 AM, Monday, August 21, 2017 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, Il. with Scott Marsh officiating. Burial will follow at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, Il. Visitation will be 3 – 5 PM, Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the funeral home with Masonic services at 5 PM.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Maroa Christian Church.

 

Ron was born June 14, 1936 in Wapella, IL the son of Paul and Martha (Collins) Holland. He married Joyce Haenny February 11, 1956 in Clinton, Il.

 

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Holland, Maroa, IL; Children, Steve (Jean) Holland, Decatur, IL; Barb Hill, Moweaqua, IL; 3 Grandchildren, Alex (Angela) Holland, Springfield, IL; Trevor (Rachel) Holland, Carmel, IN; Callie (Donald) Hill, Moweaqua, IL; Step-Granddaughter, Kelly Gamble, Pelham, Alabama; 3

Step-Great-Grandchildren; Siblings, Betty Ellis, Clinton, IL; Kathy (Vernon) Meadows, Wapella, IL.

 

He was preceded in death by his Parents, 3 Brothers and 1 Sister.

 

Ron was a member of the Maroa Christian Church. He owned and operated R.E. Holland Contracting for 50 years where he did Industrial painting and sandblasting. Ron also developed Holland Mobile Home Park, Maroa, IL in 1973. He was a 54 year member of the Maroa Masonic Lodge #454 A.F. & A.M. and also was a member of the Shriner’s and Consistory.
