Marcia Diane (Thorp) Roesch 76 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 9 PM August 10, 2017 at Sugar Creek Assisted Living Center, Normal, Il.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 PM, Monday, August 14, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Wapella, Il. with Rev. Fr. James Henning Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wapella, Il. Visitation will be 5 – 7 PM, Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the funeral home with Rosary Service at 5 PM.

 

Memorials may be directed to Second Chance Pet Adoption or St. Patrick’s Church. Marcia was born June 13, 1941 in Clinton, IL the daughter of James and Mary (Cisco) Thorp. She married John D. Roesch, Sr. on July 18, 1964 in Clinton, Il. He passed away March 18, 2005.

 

Survivors include her children, John David (Erin) Roesch, Jr., Clinton, IL; Christina (Jeff) Beckemeyer, Forsyth, IL; Paul Roesch, Clinton, IL; Anne (Shannon) Leischner, Washington, IN; Six grandchildren: Ashley, Justin, Kate, Hallie, Paige, and Cole; three sisters: Joan (Jack) Morris, Clinton, IL; Antoinette Anastas, Bartlett, IL; and Elizabeth (Steve) Shelley, Bloomington, IL.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

 

Marcia graduated from Murray State in 1963 and taught Physical Education in Farmer City. She then worked at First National Bank and was a secretary at Clinton High School. Marcia enjoyed gardening and the outdoors.
