Timothy Lee, 71, of Bloomington, Illinois, passed away at 6:40 A.M., Thursday, August 3, 2017 at home.

Tim was born on August 16, 1945 in Peoria, Illinois, a son of Jack and Ruth Lee.  He married Cindy Trenkle on August 4, 1984 in LeRoy, Illinois.  She survives.

 

He is survived by his son, Ryan (Anne) Lee of Lemont, Illinois; daughter, Amy (Brandt) Andreassen of Iowa; five grandchildren; sisters, Melissa Abel of Des Plaines, Illinois and Linda Polk of Georgia; and nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Fred Medina and Jack Lee.

 

Tim previously owned restaurants and was an excellent chef.  He owned businesses that researched and developed alternative fuels.  He was a researcher, scientist, inventor, and traveled the world to help with remediation.  He was a lover of nature and animals as well as a photographer and artist.  Tim enjoyed pushing himself and others intellectually--he loved a challenge.  He enjoyed spending time with his Coffee Shop crew and partner in crime, Dave Buss.

 

Tim was a loving husband; father; grandfather; brother, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.
