Arelene Williams Vance Dittus

Arlene Williams Vance Dittus 90 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 1 PM August 3, 2017 at the Warner Hospital and Health Services, Clinton, IL.
 
Services will be 2:30 P.M. Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Rev. Lou Ella Pence officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, IL. Visitation will be 1:30 – 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
 
Memorials may be directed to the Farmer City United Methodist Church, the Bellflower United Methodist Church, or the Bellflower Historical Society.
 
Arlene was born July 16, 1927 in Bellflower, IL the daughter of Walter and Marie (McIlvain) Williams.  She married Donald D. Vance February 23, 1946 in Paxton, IL. He passed away June 30, 1980. She later married Merle Dittus September 12, 1984. He passed away June 21, 1996.
 
Survivors include her niece: Cathy Arlene Allen, Henderson, KY; 3 great-nieces and nephew: Cathy Garriga, Henderson, KY, Connie Goldstein, Cold Spring, KY and Paul Moses, Lincoln, NE; along with 4 great-great-nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father: Wilbur Forbes and brother:  Harland Williams.
 
Arlene was a member of the Farmer City United Methodist Church and affiliated with the Grand Prairie
United Methodist Church, Bonfield, IL.
 
She was a long time employee for George H. Dunn and had worked at the John Warner Bank.
 
Arlene enjoyed life with a sparkle, always looking for fun. She was always happy and a very caring  person. Arlene cherished her Monday lunches at the Lion’s Club with her lady friends. She enjoyed
knitting and crocheting.
 
A special “Thank You” is extended to her cousin Robert McIlvain for all his kind attention and support at Arlene’s recent birthday party.
