Rachel B. Zeigler, 77, of Farmer City, Illinois, passed away at home Thursday, August 3, 2017.  Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M., Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, Illinois.  Her funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. also at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Ashby officiating.  Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery, Farmer City, Illinois.

 

Rachel was born November 6, 1939 in Kentucky, a daughter of George and Lora Dalton Burton.  She married Harold Richard “Dick” Zeigler on March 20, 1970 in Farmer City, Illinois.

 

 Surviving are five sons, Craig (Melinda) Zeigler of Farmer City, Illinois; James Ratcliffe of Mahomet, Illinois; Jeffrey (Cindy) Ratcliffe of Concord, Ohio; Robert (Kim) Ratcliffe of Mentor, Ohio; and Erik (Mindy Wheeler) Zeigler of Clinton, Illinois; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; brothers, Edwin (Irene) Burton and Carlos Burton; sisters, Carol (Jerry) Kirschner; Florene Fisher; Betty (John) Naplin; Shannon (Dennis) Kuykendall; and Brenda (Marty Wright) Maria.

 

 She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, and stepson.

 

 Rachel was a loving mother; grandmother; great-grandmother; sister, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.
