Linda K. Newman 72 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 6:46 PM April 28, 2017 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.

 

Services will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with J. Kent Hickerson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Visitation will be 5 – 7 P.M. Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to Clinton FFA.

 

Linda was born September 7, 1944 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Robert and Iona (Hedgepath) Dean. She married Charles H. Newman October 6, 1972 in Clinton, IL. He passed away March 29, 2013.

 

Survivors include her children, Karen Shinneman, St. Claire, MO; Jill (Mark) Karkiewicz, Mahomet, IL; Brad (Mitzi) Willard, Clinton, IL; Gregg (Kim) Willard, Palm Harbor, FL; Brandi (Gary) Alsup, Clinton, IL; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Faye) Dean, Decatur, IL; sister: Vicki Densmore, Maroa, IL.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters: Violet June Newman, Sheila Campbell; Charles’s parents: Herschel and June Newman.

 

Linda retired from Revere Copper & Brass Inc. in 1999 after 30 years of service.
