Deacon Steven R. Tamburini 67 passed away 4:01 AM April 20, 2017 at his
family residence, Clinton, Illinois
 
Mass Of Christian Burial will be 11 A.M. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at St.
John The Baptist Catholic Church, Clinton, IL with Rev. Fr. James Henning
Celebrant; Con-Celebrants, Fr. Robert Hoffman and Msg. Tim Nolan. Burial
will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery Farmer City, Il. Visitation will be 5 -
7 PM, Friday, April 21, 2017 at the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church,
Clinton. Rosary will be 4:30 PM Friday at the church.  The family has
entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.
 
Memorials may be directed to St. John The Baptist Catholic Church,
Clinton, IL, or Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Farmer City, IL.
 
Steve was born December 29, 1949 in Clinton, IL the son of Frank J. and
Kathryn (Cray) Tamburini. He married Linda S. Munts July 19, 1980 in
Clinton, IL.
 
Survivors include his wife, Linda S. Tamburini, Clinton, IL; children:
Ryan S. Tamburini, Hoopeston, IL and Kathryn Lynn (Thomas) Joos, Chicago,
IL; brothers: Larry (Darlene) Tamburini, Normal, IL and Mike (Dolly)
Tamburini, LeRoy, IL. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
 
Steve was a graduate of Clinton High School in 1969 and of Illinois State
University, Normal, Il. He retired in 2011 from Hospital Sisters Health
System after 30 years. He had worked at various hospitals in central
Illinois including the Dr. John Warner Hospital, Clinton, Il. and St.
Mary's Hospital in Decatur, Il. before working for Hospital Sisters Health
Systems in Springfield, Il. He was ordained a Roman Catholic Deacon in May
2012, serving the parishes of St. John The Baptist in Clinton, Il., Sacred
Heart in Farmer City and St. John the Evangelist in Mansfield.  He enjoyed
reading and watching Western movies.
