Robert Roy, 89, of Washington, IL, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the Apostolic Christian Home, Eureka, IL.

 

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. -11:00 A.M., Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, LeRoy, IL. The funeral service will follow at 11 A.M. with Jim Roy officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, LeRoy, IL. Memorials may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home.

 

Robert was born December 6, 1927 in Bloomington, IL, a son of Harry Lee and Mildred Oliver Roy. He married Kackie Lamont Roy, and she passed away in 2005. He married Betty Higgins in 2006, and she survives.

 

Surviving are his wife, Betty Higgins Roy; two sons, Jerry (Alesha) Roy of Mackinaw, IL and Jim (Karen) Roy of Ottawa, IL; one daughter, Sue (Ron) Bachman of Lowpoint, IL; eight grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Owens of LeRoy, IL and Judy Atherton of Congerville, IL.

 

Robert had a forty year career at Caterpillar. He loved farming, Caterpillar and flying planes.
