Kerry Daniels

Kerry Scott Daniels, 57, of Clinton, passed away Thursday (April 6, 2017) in Clinton.
 
His graveside service with military honors will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, with Scott Marsh officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Scott’s name may be directed to the Amvets, Clinton.
 
Kerry, or “Scott” to family and friends, was born Sept. 29, 1959, in Clinton, the son of Thornton and Joyce (Hammond) Daniels.
 
Survivors include his brothers, David (Dana) Daniels, Florissant, Mo.; Terry Daniels, Mons, Belgium; Robert (Martha) Daniels, Springfield; James Daniels, Clinton; Philip Daniels, Clinton; and sisters, Karen Daniels, Granbury, Texas, and Janet (David) Coppenbarger, Granbury, Texas. Scott is also survived by three nephews, Kevin (Stephanie) and Timothy (Stephanie) Coppenbarger, both of Granbury, Texas, and Christopher Daniels, Clinton. One niece, Maggie Inman, Clinton, and several great-nephews and great-nieces also survive.
 
Kerry happily was a father to Becky Broadhacker and grandfather to her son, Kaiden McCoy, who called him “Papa.” Both brought him great happiness and joy. He will be deeply missed by all.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Michael; and a great-great-nephew, Aiden.
 
Scott was a lifelong area resident and served in the U.S. Navy, Naval Construction Force, better known as the Seabees. Scott enjoyed fishing, cooking, drawing, playing video games and the banjo. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He had a huge heart, a warm smile, and loved his family deeply.
