June Butler, 94, of Lincoln, IL, passed away at 8:57 A.M. Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

 

June was born on June 11, 1922 in Buffalo Hart, IL, the daughter of Leslie and Teanie Judy Ridgeway. June married Dale Boyd on August 22, 1940, she later married Wilbur Butler on June 8, 1974 in Springfield, IL. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1989.

 

Surviving June are two daughters, Rita (Lenny) Remmert of Lincoln, IL, Lana (Bart) Miller of Lincoln, IL, one son Danny (Nancy) Boyd of Linn Creek, MO, five grandchildren, Chad (Sandee) Remmert, Josh (Heather) Boyd, Shauna Marino, Dr. Zachary (Lauren) Boyd, Brandon (Emily) Miller, three great-grand children, Lacey Remmert, Logan Remmert, Kinley Marino and one brother Charles Ridgeway of Broadwell, IL.

 

June was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 7 sisters.

 

June was a beautician and musician. She enjoyed entertaining in Lincoln, IL and surrounding areas; as well as Yuma, AZ and Texas. June worked and taught music at Lincoln Developmental Center, and after retiring she enjoyed traveling and loved entertaining with her keyboard and fiddle.

 

Services for June will be held at 10:00A.M. Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Jefferson Street Christian Church in Lincoln. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 also at the church. Burial will take place at Kline Cemetery in Broadwell, IL after the services. Memorial donations may be made in June’s name to Friendship Manor or Jefferson Street Christian Church. Services have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln, IL.
