Genevieve Louise Farnsworth, 95 of Clinton, IL passed away February 15, 2017, Ollie Steele Burden Manor, Baton Rouge, La.
 
Services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Greg Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Visitation will be at 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Il.
 
Memorials may be directed to Little Galilee Christian Assembly.
 
Genevieve was born September 3, 1921 in Heyworth, IL the daughter of Clyde and Ruby (Roark) Padgett. She married Harry Farnsworth May 6, 1942 in Fullton, MO. He passed away October 25, 2000.
 
Survivors include her Children, Diane Sympson, Gonzales, LA, Paul (Bonnie) Farnsworth, Fort Pierce, FL, 3 Grandchildren, Shawn (Tracy) Smith, Prairieville, LA, Jeff (Kristy) Sympson, La Place, LA, John Sympson, La Place, LA, 4 Great-Grandchildren, Jordan (Jacob) Cross, Lauren Smith, Kelsey Smith, Maddie Sympson and Harper Sympson; Sister, Helen Polley, Clinton, IL. Also surviving are Step-Brother: Raymond (Anna Marie) Moss, Clinton, IL, 3 Nephews, Mike (Sharon) Polley, Bloomington, IL, Kenneth (Camelia) Dieckmann, San Clemente, CA, and Joseph (Sandy) Johnson, Gettysburg, PA.
 
Genevieve was preceded in death by her Parents, one sister Catherine Dieckman, and one Granddaughter, Leslie Sympson.
 
Genevieve was a retired school teacher and taught over 30 years at Webster and Washington Elementary schools. She was a member of the Myrtle Chapter #131of the Order of Eastern Star.
 
Genevieve was a lifelong member of Clinton 1st Christian Church and served faithfully there as a Sunday school teacher, as well as registrar for Little Galilee for over 50 years.
 
Genevieve was an honest, generous, and caring person who set an example for how to lead a life worth living as a Christian. She has left a legacy that will last beyond a lifetime and will be missed dearly by friends and family.
