Laura van Dyk 85 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 4:21 PM February 5, 2017

at her family residence, Clinton, Il.

 

Services to celebrate Laura's life will be 11 AM, Monday, February 13,

2017 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Il. with Rev. Father James

Henning officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 AM, Monday, February 13,

2017 at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to the DeWitt County Friendship Center.

 

Laura was born June 14, 1931 in Clinton, IL the daughter of Murrel Samuel

and Maude Louise (Wilson) Campbell. She married Richard Waranius in March

1951 in Las Vegas, NV.  She later married Frans van Dyk March 25, 1962 in

Long Beach, CA. He passed away March 25, 2008.

 

Survivors include her children, Kenneth (Connie) Waranius, Shasta, CA;

Lana (Case) Ophorst, Clinton, IL; Sharon Waranius, Redding, CA, Cyndi

(Tery) Beaver, Riverside, CA ; step-children, Dirk van Dyk, Strawberry,

AZ; Karl (Renee) van Dyk, Placerville, CA; 5 Grandchildren, 1

Great-Grandson, and 2 step-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her Parents.

 

Laura was a CNA for many years.  She lived in California from 1952 until

she moved to Clinton in 1985.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed going on

walks and riding the Show Bus.
