David E. Duff, 75, of North Fort Myers, FL formerly of Clinton, IL passed away at 11:19 PM, February 6, 2017 at Cape Coral Hospital, Cape Coral, Florida.

 

Services will be 10 AM, Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with J. Kent Hickerson officiating.  Burial will follow at Mausoleum Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL.  Visitation will be 5 – 7 PM, Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

 

David was born April 21, 1941 in Gary, IN the son of Rex and Josephine (Oakman) Duff.  He married Judith L. Prawl July 1, 1960 in Clinton, IL.  She passed away September 17, 2007.  He later married Beverly J. Armstrong March 14, 2009 in Ormond Beach, FL.

 

Survivors include his wife, Beverly J. Duff, North Fort Myers, FL; children:  Dru Corwin, Clinton, IL and Dana Archer (Todd Burlingame), Battle Creek, MI; grandchildren:  Dave Corwin, Clinton, IL; Josh Girard, Nashville, TN; Lauren Archer, Battle Creek, MI; four great-grandchildren:  Chloe, Shay, Antonio, and Ashontez; step-children:  Teresa Armstrong, Clinton, IL and Debbie (Dave) Defebaugh, Sherman, IL; step-grandchild, Juston Triplett, Carlinville, IL; sister, Suellen (Ron) Randolph, Bloomington, IL; brother, Richard (Rose) Duff, Bloomington, IL.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, JoDean Koget and Mary Danison.

 

David worked for Caterpillar Tractor for 38 years before retiring in 2003.  He moved to Florida full time in 2014.  David was an avid Cub and Illini fan but most of all he was a devoted family man.
