Edna Ruth Ryan, 77 of Oreana, IL, went home peacefully in her sleep and is celebrating with Jesus, family and friends, dancing and walking the streets of gold at 5:40 AM January 30, 2017 at her family residence in Oreana, IL.

 

Graveside services will be 1:30 P.M. Friday, February 3, 2017 at Macon County Memorial Park Cemetery, Harristown, IL with Paul Roberts officiating. Visitation will be 5 – 7 P.M. Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Calvert Funeral Home, Argenta, IL

 

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

 

Edna was born November 23, 1939 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Clifton Vance and Betty June (Rardin) Ball. She married Robert E. Ryan, Jr. September 6, 1958 in Decatur, IL. He passed away January 1, 2006.

 

Survivors include her children: June (Mike Price) Yates, Nokomis, IL, Terri (Roger) Browning, Decatur, IL and Cindy Gahwiler, Oreana, IL; grandchildren: Shauna Rush, Jason Benge, Tyler Yates, LaRae (Paul) Roberts, Nichole (Robert Goyen) Foster, Levi Gahwiler, along with several great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings: Nadeen (Carl) Williams, Decatur, IL, Arleigh (Sandy) Ball, Rockledge, FL and Clifton Ball, Oreana, IL.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother: Charles Ball.

 

Edna loved flowers and British sit-coms. She was a very caring and loving person, always putting others first.
