Floyd E. Payne, 87 of Lincoln passed away at 12:05 a.m. January 23, 2017 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital of Lincoln, IL.

 

Floyd was born March 1, 1929 in Union Illinois the son of Everett and Edna (Oltman) Payne. He married Norma JoAnn Teaney on February 4, 1950 in Hartsburg, IL. She survives him.

 

Also surviving are his children: Kerry Payne of Lincoln, Roger (Randy) Payne of Lincoln, Reggie (Tracy) Payne of Hartsburg, and Robyn Redfairn of Lincoln. Two brothers: Ray (Charlene) Payne of Lincoln, Harold (Ann) Payne of New Jersey; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents and one brother Howard.

 

Floyd was a member of Jefferson Street Christian Church. He worked and retired as a forklift operator at PPG.

 

A Memorial service for Floyd will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday January 27, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL with Joe Sanders officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00-6:00 p.m. prior to the service. A private family burial will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Floyd’s name to American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
