Dorothy Lee Schrock

Dorothy Lee Schrock, 83, of Farmer City, passed away at 10:15 p.m. Monday (Jan. 16, 2017) at her home after a brief, inspirational battle with cancer.
 
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Community Fellowship, 1300 W. Clinton Ave., Farmer City, with Pastor Dave Ashby officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Farmer City. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Community Fellowship, Farmer City. Memorials may be made to Trinity Community Fellowship. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, is in charge of the arrangements.
 
Dorothy was born Jan. 27, 1933, in Brandenburg, Ky., a daughter of Robert Lee and Mary Ellen Thornhill Daily. She married Walter M. Schrock on Dec. 14, 1963, in Springfield. He passed away on April 20, 1985.
 
Survived by her son, Greg (Cathy) Schrock, Farmer City; daughter, Rhonda (Curt) Ellis, Danville; six grandchildren, Jordan (Holly) Schrock, Jessica Schrock, Tyler Ellis, Taylor Ellis, Lauren Ellis and Lexi Ellis; and great-grandson, Rylan Tull.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter M. Schrock; one brother and one sister.
 
Before retiring, she was a secretary at Moraine View State Recreation Area, LeRoy. Dorothy was a member of Trinity Community Fellowship. She was an avid reader; enjoyed walking her loving dog, Sadie; and loved her grandchildren, great-grandson and family.
 
Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend to all, and used her faith as a living testimony.
