Helen M. (Perryman) Veach 88 of Tyler, TX formerly of Clinton, Il. passed away January 5, 2017 at her family residence, Tyler, TX.

 

Services will be 10 AM January 13, 2017 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Rev. Leanne Noland and Rev. C. Don Ferrill officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Visitation will be 5 – 7 PM January 12, 2017 at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Chapter BN P.E.O or the Clinton United Methodist Church.

 

Helen was born November 21, 1928 in Benton, IL the daughter of Delmar and Ethel (Nave) Perryman. She married Bob Veach May 7, 1950 in Carbondale, Il. He passed away August 6, 1990. 

 

Survivors include her son: Bob and wife, Dawn Veach, Bullard, TX; grandchildren: Nicole and husband, Tanner (Veach) Berryhill, Tyler, TX, Ashley Veach, Hoover, AL, and great grandchildren: Presleigh and Jackson Berryhill of Tyler, TX.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter: Marci Veach, December 5, 1953.

 

Helen was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church, Clinton Country Club, Clinton Elks Club and the Clinton and Tyler, TX Chapter of P.E.O.

 

She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Illinois University. Later, Helen went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Guidance Counseling from Sangamon State University. She retired from Richland Community College in 1993 after years of services.

 

Helen touched many lives throughout her life and will be sorely missed.
