James R. Shinneman, 82 of Denver, CO formerly of Clinton, IL, and Hudson, MI, passed away 8:36 A.M. December 26, 2016 at Sky Ridge Medical Center, Lone Tree, CO.

 

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Greg Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Weldon Cemetery, Weldon, IL, with Military Honors. Visitation will be 10-11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army. 

 

James was born September 27, 1934 in Kansas City, MO the son of Carl and Helen (Potter) Shinneman. He married Marcy Krachum February 12, 1966 in Peoria, IL. She passed away July 27, 1998.

 

Survivors include his children: Cynthia (James) Mitchell, Highland Ranch, CO, Annette Wylie, St. Petersburg, FL, Greg Shinneman, Victoria Lampling, and Craig Shinneman; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and step-son: Dennis Dahlen.

 

James was a veteran of U.S. Air Force. He was member of the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Denver, CO, along with being a cabinet maker, and salesman. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf.
