Brian S. Warnick

Brian S. Warnick, 45 of Clinton, IL passed away 6:37 P.M. December 28, 2016 after a, courageous, 2 month battle with lung cancer at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.
 
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL, with Greg Taylor and Rev. Sigurd Bjorklund officiating. Casual attire is requested. Burial will follow at Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg, IL. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M. Monday, January 2, 2017 at the funeral home.
 
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
 
Brian was born January 6, 1971 in Decatur, IL, the son of Gary and Jacqueline (Ater) Warnick.
 
Survivors include his son: Zachary Warnick, LaPlace, IL; mother and step-father: Jacqueline and Keith Talley, Dumas, AR; father: Gary Warnick, Springfield, IL; sister: Natalie (Joe) Conway, Decatur, IL; girlfriend: Nereyda Anaya, Clinton, IL, and her children Noel, Mateo, and Liam; maternal grandmother: Joyce Ater, Monticello, AR; nephew: Seth Duncan; niece: Alexa Duncan; great-nephew: Easton Duncan. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
 
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Bob and Marj Warnick; maternal grandfather: Warren Ater; and step-grandparents: Doyle (Helen) Talley.
 
Brian enjoyed spending time with his family, and friends. He especially enjoyed farming. He was employed by Stericycle in Clinton. He also served as a volunteer firefighter from 1997 until 2008 for the Clinton Fire Dept.
 
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses at Decatur Memorial Hospital in ICU, especially Tressa and Micah.
