Dorothy Marie Elenora (Schultz) Primmer, 94, of Monticello, passed away at 9:31 p.m., December 22, 2016 at Maple Point, Monticello.

 

Dorothy was born on January 30, 1922 in Effingham County the daughter of Chris H. and Nancy Bertha Jane (Stockwell) Schultz. She married Raymond Albert ‘Ray’ Primmer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond A. Primmer September 30, 1991, two sisters Laura Bannick and Luevada Wright, three brothers Otto C. Schultz, Harvey R. Schultz, and one infant brother.

 

Survivors include two children Larry D. Primmer of Cerro Gordo and Jane Christine Jones of Lodge, grandchildren 13, great grandchildren 13, and several nieces and nephews.

 

She spent many years in the nursing occupation and was PTA President at White Heath school. She was a member of Centerville United Methodist Church, the W.S.C.S of the church, the Piatt County Farm Bureau, and a 4-H leader. Her hobbies included gardening, photography, and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

 

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello with Rev. Steve Ingram and Rev. Cindy Rettig officiating. Interment will be held in Ingram Cemetery.

 

Memorial donations may be made to the Piatt County Breast Cancer Fund or the Centerville United Methodist Church.
