Allen Scott Lanter 52 of La Place, Illinois passed away 6:25 PM December 11, 2016 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Illinois.

 

Services will be 11 AM, Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Argenta, Il. with Pastor Bob Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta, Il. Visitation will be 10 – 11 AM, Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to Allen Scott Lanter Memorial Fund.

 

Allen was born April 29, 1964 in Decatur, IL the son of Elwood and Erma (Hunter) Lanter.

 

Survivors include his wife, Brenda, La Place, IL; daughter, Breann Lanter, La Place, IL; mother, Erma Lanter, Argenta, IL; sisters: Carol Lanter, Argenta, IL and Donna (Richard) Kimler, Argenta, IL.

 

He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Dale.

 

Allen was a custodian at Millikin University and enjoyed yard work and the outdoors.
