Violet Rose Winters, 80 of Cisco, IL., passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 in Carl Foundation Hospital Urbana, IL.

 

A private funeral service will be held for her family. She will be laid to rest in Croninger Cemetery in Cisco, IL. Memorials may be made to the Cisco Fire Department. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.

 

Violet was born April 16, 1936 in Brookville, IN., daughter of Earl and Flora( Mahaffey) Bourquein. She worked for and retired from Growmark in Cisco. Violet loved birds, gardening, square dancing, and the Bement Opry and family gatherings. She was a member of The Oreana Christian Church and formerly First Christian Church of Monticello where she played the piano. She married Charles E. Winters and he preceded her in death on July 2, 2011.

 

Surviving are her children, Ricky Lee (Deborah) Winters of Cisco, IL., Ronald E. (Teresa) Winters of Euless, TX., Anna Marie (Kevin) Levault of Stonington, IL., John David Winters of Cisco, IL., fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, brother, Norman (Cherryle) Bourquein of Batesville, IN., sisters, Ellen Suhre of Oxford, Ohio, Marilyn Brown of Dunlap, Ohio, brother-in-law, Herb (Wanda) Winters of Sunman, IN.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters, Lavonne Wallace and Marie Craft.

 

Violet was a wonderful mother, grandmother sister and friend and she will be deeply missed.
