William C. Guyot, Sr.

William C. Guyot, Sr., 85, of Cisco, passed away at 9:50 p.m., December 6, 2016 at Carle Hospital, Urbana.
 
Bill was born on December 5, 1931 in Deland, IL the son of Lester and Ella (Anderson) Guyot. He married Wanda E. Lewis on June 9, 1951 in Tulsa, OK.
 
Bill is survived by his wife, Wanda Guyot of Cisco; a son, Chuck Guyot (Iris) of Bement, Chuck’s children Brenda Stephens (Brian) and Dave Guyot (Amber), Brenda’s children Elizabeth Stephens and Will Stephens, and Amber’s son, Austin Chestnut. Bill is also survived by a daughter, Becky Copeland (Joe) of Oblong, Becky’s children Amy Patton (Jeramie) and Wade Copeland (friend CasCainda Sheridan) and Amy’s daughter, Brinley Patton. Bill is also survived by a sister, Jean Bickers of North Carolina; nephew, Bill Bickers; and a very special friend of the family, Bob Wisehart. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
 
Bill retired as a Petroleum driver for the Piatt County Farm Services and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Bill loved his children and grandchildren. In his early years, he played fast-pitch softball. He coached and helped start little league in Cisco. He enjoyed fishing and hunting but his true passion was coon hunting where he was inducted into the Illinois State Coon Hunter’s Hall of Fame.
 
A private family graveside service will be held. Interment will be in Croninger Cemetery, Cisco.
