Merlin Gene “Butch” Billington Jr., 57, of Beulaville, N.C., formerly of Atlanta, passed away Saturday (Sept. 17, 2016) at Greenville, N.C.
Butch was born Oct. 25, 1958, in Lincoln.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Butch loved NASCAR, especially Dale Jr., and when he wasn’t fishing, he enjoyed watching the National Football League.
He is survived by wife, Monica K. Billington of the home; sons, Jeremy Billington and Lazlo Billington, both of Lincoln; daughter, Kayla Jackson, Lincoln; brother, Stephen (Penny) Billington, Hubert, N.C.; sisters, Theresa (David) Miley, Fort Worth, Texas; Sherrilyn (Lawrence) Foss, Lincoln; and Donna (Gary) Knight, Rogersville, Mo.; parents, Merlin and Delores M. Billington, Atlanta; seven grandchildren; and one stepgranddaughter.
