Surviving are his parents, Jason (Angie Hoerner) Loftus and Anita (Robert) Loftus Burris, both of LeRoy; sister, Jillann “Nichole” Loftus, and brother, James C. Loftus, both of LeRoy; stepsister, Jessica (Doug) Scott, Clinton; stepbrother, Rob Burris, Springfield; grandparents, Dennis (Karen) Schmidt, Lowpoint; James (Linda) Gebel, Washburn and Pete Loftus, LaPlace, La.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and dog, Leo.

He was preceded in death by aunt, Jill Duden, and cousin, Andrew Filson.

Jake attended Oak Church of the Brethen in Lowpoint. He enjoyed fishing, camping and role-playing games. He was a huge Chris Farley fan and an avid Bears fan. He loved drag racing and was a fan of the 1980’s Buick Regal Grand National.

His funeral will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Mason Funeral Home, Metamora Chapel, with the  Rev. Charles Buegel officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Jake N. Loftus Memorial Fund, BPECU Credit Union, P.O. Box 82, Bloomington, IL 61702.
