Julius “Pete” Snow Jr., 66, of Heyworth, passed away at 6:51 p.m. Friday (May 27, 2016) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

His graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Heyworth Cemetery, Heyworth, with the Rev. Richard Gray officiating. Military rites will be accorded. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to Carl E. Miller American Legion Post 624, Heyworth. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Heyworth, is in charge of arrangements.

Pete was born Dec. 3, 1949, in Bloomington, a son of Julius Merle Sr. and Doris Lorene Geske Snow.

He is survived by his sister, Doris Julene (Mike) Mearida, Clearwater, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joy Welch.

Pete had been a carpenter. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Pete was a member of Carl E. Miller American Legion Post 624, Heyworth; Little Embry Rainey Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1559, Heyworth; Sons of the American Legion Post 624, Heyworth; life member of the National Rifle Association; and member of Carpenters Local 63, Bloomington.
