William I. Ellis, 84, of Clinton, passed away 12:30 a.m. Friday (May 13, 2016) at his home.

No services are planned at this time. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, assisted the family with cremation rites.

William was born Nov. 17, 1931, in Randolph Township, the son of Fletcher “Bud” and Marion Carl Ellis. He married Betty Holland on Feb. 14, 1948.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Ellis, Clinton; children, John (Melanie) Ellis, Wapella; Bill (Janis) Ellis, Wapella; and Martha (Ed) Wilcox, Kearney, Neb.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
