Charlotte Marie Fredrick, 66, of Monticello, passed away at 7:05 a.m., April 27, 2016 at the Kirby Medical Center.
Charlotte was born May 11, 1949 in San Diego, CA the daughter of John Richard Hanson, Jr. and Harriett Louise (Warden) Hanson. She married David O. Fredrick on January 11, 1973 in San Diego, CA. He passed away on February 13, 2014.
She is survived by her son, David W. Fredrick (Debbie) of Quincy; daughter, Angela K. Gadbury (Steve) of Mahomet; grandchildren, Jacob Gadbury (Michelle) of Alaska and Jared Gadbury of Mahomet; step-grandchildren, Dakota, Dezaree and Dustin Guthrie; brothers, Richard Hanson of San Diego, CA and John Hanson of Las Vegas, NV; and sister-in-law, Kay Carnes (Dave) of Monticello. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Peggy Gallup.
Charlotte was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Post #24 and the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and close friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Christ Lutheran Church, Monticello with Pastor Micah Garnett officiating. A graveside service will follow and be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.
