Wanda J. Myers 87 of Maroa, Illinois passed away 8:43 PM April 23, 2016 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Illinois.

Services will be 11 A.M. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Maroa United Methodist Church, Maroa, IL with Pastor Nic Showalter officiating. Burial will follow at the Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL. Visitation will be 9 – 11 A.M. Saturday at the church. Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Wanda Myers Scholarship Fund (Maroa-Forsyth School District).

Wanda was born August 21, 1928 in Maroa, IL the daughter of George and Effie (Katt) Rodgers. She married Bernard L. Myers March 20, 1949 in Maroa, IL.

Survivors include her husband: Bernard L. Myers, Forsyth, IL; children: Kathy Sharp, Maroa, IL, Kirk (Julie) Myers, Decatur, IL, Lisa (Jim) Peck, Forsyth, IL and Kim (Rich) Fox, Bloomington, IL; 9 grandchildren: Michael Blanco, Chase Myers, Savannah Myers, Jimmy (Stephanie) Peck, Jordan (Samantha) Peck, Kelly Peck, Caroline Fox, Jack Fox and Griffin Fox; 1 great granddaughter: Stevie Peck and 1 great grandchild on the way.

Wanda was a member of the Maroa United Methodist Church. She was a former employee of the Maroa-Forsyth School District and Linville Hardware Store in Maroa. Along with being an avid Maroa-Forsyth Trojans fan, Wanda loved reading and especially loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
